Town of Del Norte Finance Officer/Town Treasurer

The Town of Del Norte is accepting applications or resumes for finance officer/town treasurer. The finance officer is also responsible for maintaining the accounting records as well as the Town’s accounting system. It is the responsibility of the finance officer to implement best practices and ensure the Town is following local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Appointed position by Town Board of Trustees. Position is responsible for overseeing all aspects budgeting, financial planning, accounting, reporting, and with the primary goal of ensuring the Town’s long-term financial health, with analysts to produce accurate financial information for decision-making. Applicant must have knowledge of municipal accounting and grant financing administration, on the job training will be available. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or public administration from an accredited college or university, five (5) years of direct, progressive, responsible financial management, three (3) of which must be in municipal accounting and include three (3) years of supervisory experience. Will take into consideration bookkeeping experience.  Salary range $27.25 -$30.25 pr/ hr, DOQ. Please send application and resumes to Del Norte Town Hall P.O.
